Robby Hoffman will be joining Iowa Select as a Master Coach for the 2023-24 club season. He grew up in Mokena, IL, and started playing club volleyball at 13 for Ultimate Volleyball Club out of Frankfort, IL.

Robby attended Lincolnway East High School, and played as libero. He was a 3 year varsity player, and a 2 year varsity starter including the first Volleyball State Championship for the school in 2014. Robby holds the record for all time career digs, and he received an All-Conference Honors his senior year.

After high school, Robby attended St. Ambrose University, and was part of a conference title team in 2016, where they finished 3rd in the NAIA National Championship, as well as a regular season Conference title in 2019. While attending SAU, Robby was an Assistant Coach for Women’s JV in 2017.

After college, Robby took a brief break from volleyball, but it wasn’t long before he began playing in some indoor leagues and sand tournaments.

Outside of volleyball, Robby lives in Iowa City with (soon to be) wife Brittney, their cat Thunder, and dog Leia. He works in IT as a Project Technician, and loves traveling, being outdoors, going on hikes.
