Rachel Cobert will be the 16 Black Head Coach for the 2023-24 club season, and will also be her first season coaching at Iowa Select.

Rachel attended school and played volleyball at Erie High School from 2012-2016, where she was a member of two regional championship teams. She then went on to study and play at the University of Illinois Springfield from 2016-2020. During this time, Rachel was a member of teams who qualified for the GLVC Conference tournament in 2017-2019, won the 2018 GLVC regular season conference title, and qualified for the NCAA Regional tournament in the same year.

After graduating from UIS, Rachel went on to earn her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree at St. Ambrose University and serve as the graduate assistant coach for the men’s volleyball team for the 2020 and 2021 seasons.

Throughout college, Rachel returned to the QCA to help coach at Iowa Select summer camps and clinics, and she could not be more excited to finally have a team of her own.
