It’s been a busy and rewarding offseason with the construction of the new building, preparation for next season as well as preparing two of our Select teams for Nationals next week! We are also very excited to see so many of our athletes taking advantage of all the volleyball opportunities this summer such as camps, clinics, league and private lessons over the summer! Thank you for all your support! Frank & Kyle, Iowa Select VBC Club Directors

Iowa Select Welcomes Shauna Cotton

– Iowa Select Volleyball Club is excited to announce the hiring of Shauna Cotton to the Iowa Select Family. Shauna will work in many different areas within the organization and the organization is beyond excited to have Shauna join our volleyball family! Iowa Select’s Co-Director, Frank Flanagan, is also ecstatic about Shauna joining the family: “A large aspect we have always preached to our athletes is growth mindset and the idea that you can always get better. Kyle and I at the end of every year are always looking at opportunities to get better so that our athletes can have a great experience and have all the opportunities in the world to become the best volleyball player that they want to be. Bringing Shauna on board is the start of an off-season where we are looking to make the necessary changes to improve where we can get better. Our day to day organization, communications, sponsorships, and many of the behind the scenes jobs takes a huge step forward. With that, our gym and training take a huge step forward as now I can spend most of my energy and focus on training, which is ultimately what we want to be great at! We’ve gotten the pleasure to know Shauna over the last couple of years while she has Co-Directed PV Volleyball Club, and we’re excited to have such a quality person, mother, and volleyball fanatic on our side and we know our families will appreciate the improved blend of organization and high-quality training”. Shauna Cotton is also excited about the future moving forward, “I’m excited about the opportunity to join the Iowa Select Staff and help on the administrative side of the club. Volleyball is a big part of my family’s life and I’m thrilled to be a part of a growing quality volleyball club with some of the top coaches in the area! I look forward to meeting all the players and parents in the very near future! GO SELECT!” Iowa Select Volleyball is a non-profit youth organization that specializes in the growth, training, and education of our area’s girls and boys volleyball players. Nick Lynch Joins Iowa Select

Iowa Select Volleyball Club is excited to announce the hiring of Nick Lynch to the Iowa Select Family. Nick will Head Coach our top 17u team and serve as one of the lead coaches alongside Frank Flanagan and the 15u-18u coaches. Previously, Nick was an assistant coach at St. Ambrose University as the Head JV Women’s Coach the lead assistant with the nationally recognized Men’s Team. Nick on his switch to the club side, “I’m beyond excited to become part of the growing Iowa Select family! From playing and coaching both at the club and collegiate level, I’m excited to bring my knowledge of the game and the recruiting process to the players and families here at Select. This is going to be a great year head coaching a competitive 17s age group because this is when we see the most improvement in athletic abilities and understanding the game, all while the recruiting process is in full force. After taking a few years off from coaching club, it’s exciting to be back! Go Select!” Co-Director’s Frank Flanagan and Kyle Condon on the recent addition of Nick Lynch to the club, “We freaked out when we got his text letting us know he was in! Nick is one of the best kept secrets in our Quad City coaching community, he was an All-American Setter for one of the best men’s programs in the nation who set numerous records and accolades. What catches our eye about Nick is that he is probably a better coach then he was a player. He’s a really good player. He consistently gets the most of his team and does a tremendous job leading a group of athletes. Not surprising at all because it’s exactly the kind of teammate that he was. We’re looking forward for our Iowa Select athletes to be around someone like Nick this club season”.
