This is Sam Barr’s first year with Iowa Select as the 17 Baden assistant coach for the 2022-23 season.

Sam is originally from DeWitt where she started playing volleyball in 5th grade. From there, she moved on to the high school level as a starting middle hitter and played for the Saber Powerhitters Club team.

She went on to receive her B.A. in health promotion and education from University of Northern Iowa and currently owns her own personal training and nutrition business. In her free time, she loves playing indoor, grass, and sand volleyball, hiking, and cooking.
