Ryan Calvert is new to Iowa Select and assisted 17 Mizuno for the 2023 season. He has been coaching volleyball for 3 years. Previously, hosting clinics and camps at Spike Sport Club based out of Houston, Texas.

Ryan started playing volleyball in 8th grade with the Muscatine Power Volleyball Club. Once that was completed he waited until college to start his competitive journey again, and played for Iowa State's Men's volleyball on their D1 NCVF team. During Ryan's time in Texas, he played in National Leagues to continue to stay competitive.

He is excited to continue coaching with Iowa Select.
