Vicente Solis started playing volleyball at a young age in his Chicago hometown neighborhood park district. From there, Vicente moved on to play at a high school level as a setter and in his junior and senior year was named to the All-Catholic League White Team two seasons in a row. After finishing up his high school career, Vicente went on to play at St. Ambrose University as a Libero for two years.
Vicente received his B.A. in Psychology (2016) and a Master's in Social Work (2020) from St. Ambrose University to follow his passion of helping people in whatever capacity that was. Vicente currently works in the Social Work field as a Program Manager serving those impacted by cancer through support groups, educational workshops, healthy lifestyle activities, social connections and resources and referrals.
In fall of 2021, Vicente coached a talented and athletic sophomore team at Davenport North. This is Vicente's third year with Iowa Select and he is full of excitement to be Assistant Coaching for 15 Mizuno!
