Morgan Gray

Coach Morgan Gray (formerly Twing) will be entering her first year coaching with our club due to the overlap of HS and Club season this past spring.
Morgan grew up in the Quad Cities and attended Rock Island High School where she was a three sport athlete, earning eight varsity letters and six All-Conference awards. After graduating in 2015, Morgan went on to play both volleyball and softball at Illinois Central College in Peoria, IL. She then transferred to St. Ambrose University in 2017 to finish her volleyball career. While team captain at Ambrose, Morgan earned CCAC All-Conference honors during her senior season in 2018.
Morgan began coaching high school athletics while attending SAU in 2018. She currently serves as the assistant varsity softball coach at Rock Island and helped the team earn a State Championship in 2018. Along with coaching high school softball, Morgan is entering her second season as Rock Island’s head varsity volleyball coach after taking over for her sister, Jacqueline Twing who moved to Nashville, in 2020. Before stepping into the role as head coach, she assisted her sister with the Rocky volleyball program at the varsity level in 2019. Morgan also coaches for and co-directs Rock Island volleyball’s feeder club program called Rock Island Performance.
While Morgan is not coaching or playing volleyball, she works as a Human Resources Specialist for the Department of the Army at The Rock Island Arsenal.
Morgan is excited to finally coach for IA Select, a competitive club program that knows how to win and have fun!
