Megan Johnson bio pic

Megan Johnson will be our 13 Black Head Coach this year! Megan played 4 years of college volleyball, two years at Blackhawk College and two years at Culver-Stockton College. She graduated from Culver-Stockton College in 2021 with a bachelor's degree in Media Communications.

Megan has played every position growing up, but was mostly an outside hitter. In 2019, Megan trained in Brazil with the men's Olympic coach to play beach volleyball. She has 6 years of coaching experience, three years at St. Josephs in DeWitt, 1 year at Central DeWitt HS, and 1 year with the Saber Powerhitters Club team, and 1 year with Select.

Megan currently works as the Emcee for the Quad Cities River Bandits Baseball and the Quad City Storm Hockey team. She also plays adult competitive volleyball on a women's team and also on a men's team. Indoor, sand, and grass. Volleyball is her life and biggest passion.

One of her favorite things to say to her players is, "You don't have to be the biggest or strongest player to win. All you have to do is outsmart the other team."
