Katie Martin will be the assistant coach for 18 Black during the 2024-2025 season. She is from Lancaster, WI, and graduated from Lancaster High School in 2019. Katie began playing volleyball in 5th grade and served as a setter and DS/libero throughout her high school career. She played club volleyball for Southern Heat and One Wisconsin. Katie coached the 18s team for Southwest Storm for two seasons in 2020 and 2021. She played college volleyball at the University of Dubuque for one season before transferring to the University of Iowa, where she played one year on the Iowa Club Volleyball team. Katie earned her bachelor’s degree in Speech and Hearing Science from the University of Iowa and is currently pursuing her Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology at Augustana College, with plans to graduate in May. This will be Katie’s first season coaching for Iowa Select, and she is excited to share her passion for volleyball.
