Arra Cottrell is a former standout athlete at Purdue University Northwest. Arra competed at a high level throughout her volleyball career and currently ranks among the program's most accomplished players. During her collegiate career, she earned multiple All-GLIAC honors, was named GLIAC Player of the Week, and became Purdue Northwest's all-time kills leader.

Before college, Arra was a key contributor to one of Iowa's top high school programs at Pleasant Valley High School, helping lead her team to a Class 5A State Championship while earning numerous conference, regional, and all-state recognitions. She also competed for Platform Elite Volleyball Club and Iowa Rockets Volleyball Club on top teams.

With more than five years of coaching experience, Arra has worked with athletes of various ages and skill levels, helping players develop strong fundamentals, confidence, and a deeper understanding of the game. Her coaching philosophy emphasizes hard work, attention to detail, competitive growth, and creating a positive environment where athletes can thrive.

In addition to her domestic experience, Arra has competed internationally in Australia and Italy, gaining valuable perspectives on the sport and bringing that knowledge back to her athletes.

Arra is excited to lead 13 Mizuno this season as her first official year of coaching a club team, and looks forward to helping each player grow both on and off the court.
