Mark Lau is old (ha!). He will be the 16 Mizuno Head Coach for the 2023-24 seaosn.

Lau has been in a love affair with volleyball for nearly three decades.  Has significant college experience with stops at Augustana College, Graceland Univ., Taylor Univ., and Lewis Univ.  Prior to a decade in the college coaching world, he spent over 10 years in the boy's club world in the Chicagoland area.  As an elite trainer Mark travels across North America coaching clinics for campers and coaches alike.

As a player he started in the Chicago suburbs, making a 2 year stop at Augustana before transferring to play Division 1 at Ball State as a scholarship athlete setting records as a prodigious middle blocker, some of which still stand.  He continued his career playing professionally in Germany for FC Schuttorf 09, training with the US National team, and ultimately converting to the beach game professionally as well.

A lifetime learner, he completed his Master's Degree in 2015 while coaching both the men's and women's volleyball at Graceland, and proudly raises his four children with his college (Augustana) sweetheart Tracey.

Mark will also be around throughout the year conducting lessons and clinics with the club.
