Lauren has been coaching volleyball at a variety of levels for over 10 years. She started coaching right after graduating from college in 2013 coaching for Bettendorf’s Club Volleyball Program. She was the head Freshman volleyball coach at Bettendorf High School from 2017-2019 with a winning season for all 3 years.

After joining Iowa Select in 2018, she wasted no time forming special teams with a mindset to grow together. In the 2020-21 season, Lauren’s 15 Black team specifically put together one of the most special seasons Iowa Select has seen a black team put together and had one of the best Iowa Regional performances, not just club wide, but in the entire state as a 2-level team with a 5th place finish in 15 Qualifying. In the 2021-22 season, she led her 13 Mizuno team to a 13th place finish at USAV Nationals as the second highest club finish.

She trains her players to play with a unique blend of grit, confidence, and IQ that has allowed her players to make tremendous individual developments in their game while teaching her groups to play unified and together. Her expectations are clear, “work together as a team, grow together as a family”.

Lauren is no stranger to the Quad Cities. As a Pleasant Valley High School Alum, she was a combined multi-sport athlete playing volleyball, soccer, basketball, softball, and track. While at PV, she earned a two-year varsity letter as a Defensive Specialist.
